1. With the aid of new finds of anomalous ammonoids from the Franconian Jura, the phenomenon of the “Rippensdieitelung” is again discussed.

2. In the Alpine foreland, beyond the Jura crescent, a succession of reliefs with hercynian framework reproduces the general curvature of the Alpine system.

Im alpinen Vorland vor dem jurassischen Bogen ahmt eine Folge von Umrissen mit herzynischen Gefügerichtungen die generelle Krümmung der alpinen Ketten nach.
